What is Meta Tag Generator?

Meta tags are snippets of HTML that tell search engines and social platforms what your page is about. A well-crafted title tag and meta description improve click-through rates — they're the first thing users see in search results.

Open Graph tags (used by Facebook, LinkedIn) and Twitter Card tags control how your page looks when shared on social media. Without them, platforms fall back to guessing — often with ugly results.

This generator produces the full set of meta tags in one go. Fill in your content, preview the search snippet and social card, then copy the ready-to-paste HTML.

Frequently asked questions

QHow long should my meta title be?

Aim for 50–60 characters. Google typically truncates titles beyond 60 characters in search results.

QHow long should the meta description be?

Keep it under 160 characters. Longer descriptions get cut off with an ellipsis in search results.

QAre meta keywords still relevant?

No — Google and most major search engines have ignored the meta keywords tag since 2009. We don't include it.

QWhat is the og:image recommended size?

1200×630 pixels is the standard for Open Graph images. Twitter Cards prefer 1200×600 or larger.

QWhat does noindex mean?

The noindex directive tells search engines not to include the page in their index. Use it for thank-you pages, staging environments, and duplicate content.
